Supple Spine Institute was founded in 2013 by Leida Visée and Dr. Anneke Schellingerhout and has since offered high-quality training and continuing education in veterinary chiropractic, osteopathy, and manual therapy. We provide small-scale education, with personal guidance and attention to both theory and practice.
Dr. Anneke Schellingerhout is a veterinarian and the current owner and head instructor of SSI. She graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University and earned her PhD in 2002 on nutrition.
In 2004, she completed the chiropractic training at the European Academy for Veterinary Chiropractic (EAVC) and obtained both the EAVC diploma and certification from the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA).
In her holistic practice, Jyoti, in Beverwijk, she treats companion animals, focusing on manual techniques such as Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT), Total Body Reflex (TBR), osteopathy, and chiropractic.
She also applies acupuncture, homeopathy, (orthomolecular) nutrition, and Chinese herbs, having completed extensive multi-year training in these areas. In addition, she continually follows continuing education and supplementary courses, ensuring her knowledge is continually deepened and the latest insights are integrated into the teaching material.
